Ragdale gets new defibrillator
The phone box was opened by Dr Doug Skehan, consultant cardiologist at Glenfield Hospital, on Sunday. A fish and chip picnic lunch was enjoyed by 80 people after.
Dr James Falconer Smith, chair of Ragdale’s ‘StayingAlive’ group, thanked everyone involved in the project for their incredible support. StayingAlive also benefitted from generous grants from The British Heart Foundation and SADS.

Hide AdDr Falconer Smith said: “As a result we have a fully-installed defibrillator and a substantial amount of training equipment, all for about £900. The device could save the life of anyone passing through Ragdale. Everyone involved should feel very proud.”
A raffle for the Air Ambulance night car service raised £310.
