Melton Mowbray Town Bowls Club toast a season of success
Club chairman David Ward, who this year served as Bowls Leicestershire men’s county president, handed over the prizes to some new faces.
As county president, David this year also handed over just over £1,780 to his chosen charity Heart Link for children having heart treatment at Glenfield Hospital.

Hide AdThanks to donations from local businesses and from various county events the fund has now risen to almost £2,000.
The presentation evening was organised by Janet Evans and June Bailey and also featured a fish and chip supper, quiz and raffle.
The event raised £128 for club funds.
Among the evening’s winners was competition organiser Harold Twigg, while Mick Parker was named Most Improved Bowler.
The Club Person of the Year award was shared between June Bailey, Janet Evans and Barbara Woodcock for their efforts with events and fundraising.
